Running an irssi Client in a detached Screen Session inside a shell.

These are the steps to run an irssi client in a detached screen session.

a) Log into your shell account
b) Run screen
c) Run irssi
d) To detach the session use Cntrl + A and then D

e) Once the session is detached, you may log out of your shell.
f) Now log back into your shell account.
g) Type the ‘screen -ls’ . This will show you screen sessions currently in use.

There is a screen on:
3526.pts-5.wisdom (11/10/2010 08:40:46 AM) (Detached)
1 Socket in /var/run/screen/S-obadiah.

h) To reattach type the ‘screen -x’ command.
